Giving thanks is an important part of life. It can be difficult to foster a sense of gratitude in students, but with the right tools, it can be done. There are many benefits to teaching gratitude to students. Not only does it improve their mental and physical health, but it can also help them succeed academically. Additionally, teaching gratitude makes students more well-rounded people.  By teaching your students to be grateful, you are giving them a gift that will last a lifetime!

There are many different ways to foster a sense of gratitude in your students. You can model gratitude yourself, incorporate it into your lesson plans, and make it a part of your classroom culture.

One way to model gratitude is to express it yourself. Thank your students for their hard work, be thankful for the little things, and let them see you giving back. Another way to incorporate gratitude into your teaching is to make it a part of your lesson plans. For example, you can have students write thank-you notes to people who have made a difference in their lives or keep a gratitude journal. Finally, you can make gratefulness a part of your classroom culture by having regular discussions about what everyone is thankful for.

Each year, I love teaching my students about the importance of gratitude and how to show it. We learn about email etiquette while doing this too! First, we talk about email, how to use it effectively, and how to show respect when we are emailing people.

Then I teach students about the different parts of a thank you note and give them examples of each part so that they can see the thank you note in action!

Finally, students get the chance to email members of school staff to say thank you! I tell students that they have to write at least 1 thank you email, but usually, they write many more than that!

When we model gratitude, we are teaching our students how to be grateful for the good things in their lives. If you’re looking for a way to teach gratitude in your classroom, the Thankfulness & Gratitude Email Etiquette Lessons are a great option. These lessons will help your students learn about the importance of gratitude and how to express it in a thank you note. By incorporating these lessons into your teaching, you will help your students develop a sense of gratitude that they can carry with them throughout their lives!
